HOW TO APPLY
University of Hyderabad
Entrance Examinations 2013-2014
Steps:
  1. Download the Prospectus and Instructions from the website : www.uohyd.ac.in and check the courses offered and eligibility criteria.
  2. Create your profile, activate and select the course/s and print the bank challan/s  or  Pay the required fees through bank Demand Draft.
  3. Update the challan paid details, after paying the fees in the bank, and upload your photo, signature and other data.
  4. Send the hardcopy of the application form along with the Demand Draft / Bank Challan and  copies of other relevant certificates (caste, distinction in games and sports, GATE hall ticket and score card, JRF, etc.) to the Deputy Registrar (Acad & Exams), University of Hyderabad, Prof. C.R.Rao Road, Hyderabad – 500046.

General Instructions:
  1. Students are required to apply online through www.uohyd.ac.in website. No other means/ mode of application will be accepted.
  2. Students are required to have a valid personal e-mail ID.  It should be kept active till the completion of the course. In case a student does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create a new e-mail ID before applying online.
  3. Payment of Application Fee is through Demand Draft or Bank Challan.
  4. Fill in all required information. Ensure that all details are correctly filled in. Click the Submit button. Retain your Username and Password for further reference safely.
  5. Download the Hall Ticket using the same username and password as per the schedule notified.

Payment of Examination Fees
Rs. 350/- for each course in the case of General / OBC Category
Rs. 150/- for each course in the case of SC/ST/PH Categories

Through Demand Draft
Draw Demand Draft in favour of Finance Officer, University of Hyderabad
payable at SBI, HUC Branch (5916) or Andhra Bank, Nampally Branch (378)

It may please be noted that the candidate need to draw a separate Demand Draft for each course intending to apply.

Through Bank Challan
Pay the entrance examination fees in any SBI branch using computer generated challan.  If a candidate wants to apply for multiple courses, he/she needs to generate separate challan for each course.  Candidates are advised not to make payment using a photocopied challan as each challan will have a unique challan number with name of the candidate and the course intending to appling for.

Guidelines for scanning the Photograph & Signature: Before applying online a candidate will be required to have a scanned (digital) image of his/her photograph and signature as per the specifications given below.
i) Photograph Image:
  • Photograph must be a recent one and should be in passport style colour picture.
  • Make sure that the picture is in colour  and preferably with white background.
  • If you wear spectacles then make sure that there are no reflections and your eyes are clearly visible.
  • Caps/hats and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headgear is allowed but it must not cover your face.
  • The photograph should be in 200 x 230 pixels dimensions.
  • Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 50KB. If the size of the file is more than 50 KB, then adjust the settings of the scanner, such as the DPI resolution, during the process of scanning.
(ii) Signature Image:
  • The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black Ink/Ball point pen.
  • The signature will be appended on the Hall Ticket and wherever necessary.
    If the Applicant's signature on the answer script, at the time of the examination, does not match with the signature on the Hall Ticket, then the applicant will not be allowed to write the entrance examination.
  • The signature should be in 140 x 60 pixels dimensions.
  • Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 20KB.
While filling the Online Application Form the candidate will be provided with a link to upload his photograph and image of signature.
Procedure for Uploading the Photograph and Signature image:
· There will be two separate links for uploading Photograph and Signature images.
· Click on the respective link "Upload Photograph / Signature".
· Browse and Select the location where the Scanned Photograph / Signature file has been saved.
·  Select the file and click on it.
·  Click the 'Upload' button.
·  Please check whether the photograph and the image of your signature are captured at appropriate places.
