ED-CET 2012 HallTickets , Syllabus

Ed.CET 2012 is Education Common Entrance Test for admission into B.Ed course in all Colleges of Education in Andhra Pradesh. This test is being conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education, Hyderabad. Ed.CET-2012 is a State wide Entrance Test, for admission into B.Ed. a one year programme offered by Colleges of Education in Andhra Pradesh for the academic year 2012-13.

The total number of applications processed for Ed.CET-2012 are 1,51,379 (One lakh fifty one thousand three hundred and seventy nine) and their Hall tickets will be dispatched soon. The candidate can download the e-Hall ticket from the Ed.CET website one week before the exam. Further they will be informed through SMS regarding Hall Ticket No., Medium and Centre allotted by the Convener Ed.CET-2012.

There are 1,259 (One thousand two hundred and fifty nine) candidates registered online without submitting the required DD’s. The candidates are intimated through Press and SMS to send original DD’s of Rs.150/-to the office of the Ed.CET-2012, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam latest by 28th May 2012, failing which their Hall tickets will not be issued and they will not be permitted to write the entrance examination under any circumstances.

Date of Ed.CET-2012 Entrance Test is 08.06.2012 between 11.00 A.M and 1.00 P.M.
Ed.CET-2012 Entrance Test will be conducted around 350 Test Centres covering in 40 Cities
throughout the State.

Candidates are advised to reach the Test Centre 45 minutes before the commencement of examination.

Candidates will not be permitted into the Examination Hall after 11.00 A.M on the day of Entrance Test.

Candidates who have applied for Urdu medium have to write the Exam in Hyderabad or Kurnool City only.

Syllabus & test pattern:

The common entrance test will be of objective type (multiple choice) examination. Candidate has to answer 150 questions in two hours time.

Part-A: General English – 25 questions for 25 marks

Part-B:

  1. General Knowledge – 15 questions for 15 marks
  2. Teaching Aptitude – 10 questions for 10 marks

Part-C: Methodology: Candidate has to choose one of the following subjects. It consists of 100 questions for 100 marks.

  1. Mathematics – 100 questions for 100 marks
  2. Physical Sciences – 100 questions for 100 marks
    1. Physics – 50 questions for 50 marks
    2. Chemistry – 50 questions for 50 marks
  3. Biological Sciences – 100 questions for 100 marks
    1. Botany – 50 questions for 50 marks
    2. Zoology – 50 questions for 50 marks
  4. Social Studies – 100 questions for 100 marks
    1. Geography – 35 questions for 35 marks
    2. History – 30 questions for 30 marks
    3. Civics – 15 questions for 15 marks
    4. Economics – 20 questions for 20 marks
  5. English Methodology– 100 questions for 100 marks
    1. Syllabus pertaining to English for Classes VIII , IX and X and that for the Two-Year Intermediate course of A.P.
      – 50 Questions for 50 Marks
    2. Syllabus prescribed for Optional English at B.A. Degree level (B.A., ML / Special English)
      – 50 Questions for 50 Marks.
Note: Part-A and Part-B are common for all the candidates irrespective of Methodology chosen in Part-C .
