MEGA DSC 40,000 TEACHERS POSTS NOTFICATION ON JANAVARY 2012

Secondary Education Minister K Parathasarathi has announced that the State Government was gearing up to issue a mega notification for District Selection Committees to recruit about 40,000 people.

Talking to reporters at the State Secretariat here on Tuesday, Parathasarathi said that the Secondary Education proposes to hire about 40,000 people through a mega recruitment process. He said that about 10 to 12,000 posts have already been approved by the Finance Department.

Parathasarathi said that about 27,000 teachers' posts would be filled in the Secondary Education department while the rest would be done in the Primary Education Department. He said about six to seven thousand additional teachers' would be appointed for the model schools. However, he said that the notifications for these recruitments would be issued only after getting the approval of the Finance Department.

The minister also announced that Rs 10 crore would be released for the laboratories in the government junior colleges. He also said the jumbling system would continue in the intermediate examination.

Further, Parathasarathi announced that the Teachers' Eligibility Test would be compulsory for the recruitment of teachers in both government and private schools. (INN)

Candidates with B.Ed and D.Ed qualifications will have bright career as the Govt. is contemplating to issue mega DSC notification 2011-2012. The Govt. of Andhra Pradesh is gearing up to release massive Teachers Recruitment Notification 2011 to fill up about 50000 posts in Government Schools in AP (School Assistants - 2284 and SGT - 7208 posts). These will be filled through District Selection Committees (DSC). Out of these vacancies, about 11000 School Assistant teacher posts will be filled under Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) Scheme for which the Govt. of India has already expressed its consent. The Govt. of Andhra Pradesh may issue a common recruitment notification for all these posts. Following are details of vacancies, eligibility and selection procedure:

1) School Assistants under Rashtriya Madhyamika Siksha Abhiyan (RMSA): 11000 posts
2) Vacancies in State Govt. Schools: 11139 posts. Division of these posts is given below:
3) School Assistants (SA): 2284 (General- 2057, Agency- 227)
4) Language Pundits -2: 1304 posts (General- 1106, Agency- 198)
5) SGT (Secondary Grade Teachers): 7208 posts (General - 5950, Agency- 1258 posts)

Apart from these, the Govt. has to recruit more than 25000 SGTs in order to implement Right to Education Act at the state level. All the posts under this act will be categorized as School Assistants (SAs). SGT posts will be more in number as there are thousands of vacancies arises with the retirements and implementation of RTE Act. Hence D.Ed. candidates will have good chances of grabbing a teacher job. The Government has issued a mega DSC recruitment notification in 2008. You can see the DSC 2008 Question Paper for the understanding of the nature of the exam. The coming notification will be much bigger than that in terms of vacancies.

The Government is also contemplating to recruit Physical Education Teachers (PET), Language Pundits after the up-gradation of the relevant posts. A new recruitment notification will be issued for this purpose. The State Teachers Association is demanding for due priority for in-service candidates in 7100 teachers posts to be recruited for Aadarsh Schools.
