AP state government has decided to stop the DSC teacher recruitment process on scheduled on June 29 and 30 after AP Administrative Tribunal's directions to implement GO No. 28, which gives priority to D.Ed candidates over B.Ed candidates for appointment as secondary grade teachers. Now Government decided to prepare a fresh merit list as per APAT orders.

AP Administrative Tribunal directed the state government to reserve 30% of the vacancies for DEd candidates in the ongoing counseling of DSC 2008 candidates for selection to the post of Secondary Grade Teacher. Petitioner urged the court to declare the action of the respondents in not reserving 30% in SGT posts with the Rule 7 of GO Ms No 28, issued on January 29, 2009.
